Ofsted Report

We were last inspected in January 2018 and were very pleased with the subsequent report.  You can read a copy of the report here. We believe that the school is going from strength to strength whilst retaining its central ethos and supportive environment.

Assessment Results and Performance Tables

Key StageTwo Data 2017/2018

Attainment (the actual results achieved by the children)

Expected and above indicates the percentage of children who reached at least the expected standard for children in year six.
Greater depth indicates the percentage of children who achieved standard.
The combined figures indicate the percentage of children who reached the standard in all three of the subjects indicated

Subject Goldstone (%) National (%) Difference (%)

Reading greater depth 34 25 +9
Writing expected and above 92 76 +16

Maths expected and above 73 75 -2

Grammar, punctuation & spelling 107 106 +1
Maths 104 104 0

Progress (The progress the children made from Year Two)

The national average is zero. If the figure is above zero this is better than the national average if it is a negative number then less than the average progress was made.  This figure can only said to be significant if the difference between the number and zero is greater than the ‘confidence interval. (this is a statistical device which makes sure that the numbers are really meaningful.

Subject School Progress Score Confidence Interval
Reading +2.3 1.0-3.6 therefore result significantly above national average
Writing +2.3 1.1-3.5 therefore result significantly above national average
Maths -0.6 -1.8-0.06 therefore result in line with national average
